Shuichi Gonda is a soccer player playing for Japan and Shimizu S-Pulse.
He is a goalkeeper, who started out with FC Tokyo, making more than 200 appearances for the club between 2007 and 2017.
He moved to Portugal to play for Portimonense in 2019 after two years with Sagan Tosu, but was loaned back to Japanese club Shimizu S-Pulse in 2021, before signing permanently.
He debuted for Japan in 2010, but became a regular in 2019 onwards. He was named in their 2022 World Cup squad, starting in a memorable win over Germany.
