Juan Carlos Valeron Santana is a Spanish footballer who currently features for the Spanish football club Deportivo la Coruna. He plays as a central attacking midfielder.
Juan Carlos Valeron commenced his career at modest Spanish club Las Palmas in 1995 and two seasons later was signed by Real Mallorca. He was then signed by Atletico Madrid in the summer of 1998 and after two impressive seasons with Atleti moved to Deportivo la Coruna in the summer of 2000.
It was Deportivo that Valeron became a huge star. His vision and passing and dribbling skills all turned out to be a huge boon for Depor both in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League. But he suffered a knee injury in February 2006 and another one in early 007 that left him on the medic’s table until the middle of the 2007-2008 season.

Juan Carlos Valeron is very much a popular figure among the Spanish football loving public and is hailed as a hero by the Depor supporters. Valeron made his international debut for Spain in 1998 and represented his nation at Euro 2000, 2002 World Cup and Euro 2004.
