Andoni Iraola Sagarna is a Spanish footballer who currently features for the Basque side Athletic Bilbao. He plays as a right back and is rated as one of the best in Europe.
Iraola progressed through the youth academy of Athletic Bilbao and made his debut for the senior side in 2003. He has made over 330 La Liga appearances for Bilbao since then, establishing himself as one of the best right-backs in entire Europe.
Iraola was crucial in Bilbao’s run to the finals of the Europa League and the Copa del Rey in 2011-12 and earned worldwide praise for his performances against Manchester United over two legs in Europe.
Iraola made his debut for Spain against Denmark in a friendly international on August 20, 2008 in a match that ended in a 3-0 victory for the reigning European and world champions.
