Sebastian Fernandez is a Uruguay international football player who currently features for the Spanish football club Malaga. He plays as a forward.

Fernandez commenced his professional club football career at Miramar Misiones in 2004 and played for them for two seasons, scoring 21 goals in 75 league matches. He then moved to Defensor Sporting where he scored 15 goals in 32 league appearances in 2008, helping his side win the Apertura Championship in 2007.

His impressive form saw him get snapped up by Benfield in 2008 and he played for them for two years, scoring 12 goals in 61 league matches. Fernandez help Banfield win the Argentine Apertura Championship in 2009.

In the summer of 2010 Malaga signed Fernandez from Banfield for €3.6 million on a four-year contract. However, he has failed to score regularly for the Spanish club.

Fernandez made his international debut for Uruguay against Romania in a friendly international on May 24, 2006. He was part of the team that reached the semi-finals of the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa.
