Jorge Merodio

Jorge Resurreccion Merodio, commonly known as Koke, is a young Spanish football player who currently features for the Spanish football club Atletico Madrid. He plays as a midfielder.

Koke developed at Atletico’s youth academy, having come to the club at eight years of age. He made his debut for the first team on September 19, 2009 against Barcelona in a 5-2 loss at Camp Nou.

Koke’s first goal for Atletico came against Sevilla on February 26, 2011 in a 2-2 draw. He has since established himself as one of the most important players for Atletico, becoming a regular since the 2011-12 campaign.

Koke won the Europa League with Atletico in 2011-12 and the UEFA Super Cup in 2012.

Koke has represented Spain at the Under-16, Under-17, Under-19, Under-20, Under-21 and Under-23 levels.
