Magno Macedo Novaes is a professional football player from Brazil who plays as a goalkeeper. In 1998, Macedo came into the limelight for the first team, when he was spotted in the Sao Paulo youth academy. The same year, Corinthians decided to bring him into their youth academy but Macedo wouldn’t graduate from the academy into the first team. Instead, he would go on to make his debut, in 2000, with Bahia Esporte Clube.
He was part of the club for four seasons, as their first choice goalkeeper, before moving onto Murici Futebol Clube in 2004. The following year, Macedo move to Esporte Clube Democrata before, later that same year, he signed a contract to play with AS Moulins in the lower divisions of French football.
Macedo moved to France and was sharing the starting spot in the first team, picking up 19 appearances over the course of two seasons. He moved to AC Arles in 2007, and played every single game for the side in 2007-08. In 2008, he signed up with SC Bastia and after spending a couple of seasons down in the pecking order, Macedo made his presence felt and has, today, played almost 100 times for the club.
