Angelo Jose Henriquez Iturra, commonly known simply as Angelo Henriquez, is a teenager Chilean football player who currently features for the English and European giants Manchester United. He plays as a forward.
Henriquez commenced his football career with Chilean powerhouse Universidad de Chile in 2007 when he was 13 years of age after he took up football as his sport, leaving tennis in the process. In 2009 Universidad agreed a deal with Manchester United that saw the English club gain the purchasing rights of the teenager for €4 million, which could be paid until 2014.
Henriquez made his professional appearances for Universidad in June 2011 in a Copa Chile game against Union San Felipe that they won 1-0. He featured in 17 league games for the Chilean giants in 2011-12, scoring 11 goals.
In the summer of 2012, United signed Henriquez, who is expected to continue his development at the Manchester club’s youth teams.
