Mauro Emanuel Icardi Rivero Fonseca Nacimiento is a soccer player playing for Paris Saint Germain and Argentina. He plays as a striker.
Career
Rosario-born Icardi played his junior football in the Canary Islands with Vecindario before moving to Barcelona's famed La Masia academy.He eventually found his way to Italy where he made his professional debut with Sampdoria in 2012, before netting 10 goals in the 2012-13 Serie A season and winning a move to Inter Milan.
Inter signed Icardi for €6.5 million for 50% registration rights. He spent five years with Inter, being a joint winner of the Capocannoniere twice, in 2014-15 with 22 league goals and 2017-18 with 29.
He moved to Paris Saint Germain in 2019, after an initial loan, for €70 million where he's remained since.
Off-field, he's the centre of regular tabloid controversy due to his marriage to Wanda Nara, who was married to Icardi's ex-Sampdoria teammate Maxi Lopez, but divorced after their relationship was exposed.
