Michael Keane is a teenage football player who currently features for the English and European powerhouse Manchester United. He plays as a defender.
Keane developed at United’s youth academy and signed a professional contract with the Red Devils on his 18th birthday on January 11, 1011. He made his first-team debut in the League Cup fourth round tie against Aldershot Town on October 25, 2011. Keane has yet to make an appearance in the Premier League for United.
Keane was farmed out on loan to Leicester City for the 2012-13 campaign, scoring two goals in 22 league appearances. He has since been drafted into the United first team.

Keane was born in England but he is of Irish ancestry and is eligible to play for the Republic of Ireland. Keane represented Ireland at the Under-17 level but has featured for the England Under-19 and Under-21 sides.
