Gustavo Lucas Domingues Piazon, commonly known simply as Lucas Piazon, is a teenage Brazilian football player who is currently on the books of the English and European giants Chelsea. He is a versatile player who can play either as a forward or as a winger, and was loaned out to Malaga in January 2013 for the remainder of the 2012-13 campaign.
Piazon commenced his youth football career at Brazilian club Coritiba in 2001 before moving to Atletico Paranaense in 2007. After one year there, he joined Sao Paulo and moved to England to join Chelsea’s youth academy in 2011.
Piazon obtained a work visa on January 20, 2012 on his 18th birthday and earned himself the right to play professionally for the Chelsea first team. Six days later he signed a contract that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2017.

At the start of the 2012-13 season, Piazon was drafted into the Chelsea first team by then manager Roberto Di Matteo. He is part of the Blues’ 22-man Champions League squad. However, he failed to play regular for the Blues and was farmed out on loan to Spanish outfit Malaga in January 2013.
