Joan Isaac Cuenca Lopez is a young Spanish football player who currently features for the Spanish and European giants Barcelona. He is a versatile player who can play either as a forward or as a winger.
Cuenca joined Barcelona’s La Masia youth academy in 2003 when he was just 12 years of age. Halfway through his third youth year, he returned home and joined his club local Reus Deportiu and rejoined Barca in 2009.
Cuenca made his debut for Barca’s first team on October 19, 2011 against Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League in a game that the Catalan giants won 2-0 at Camp Nou. He made his La Liga debut for Barcelona in a 1-0 away win against Granada on October 25, 2011. He has since gradually assimilated himself in the Blaugrana first team and is now a regular squad player. He was farmed out on loan to Dutch giants Ajax for the second half of the 2012-13 season.
