A professional football player from Brazil, Dagoberto Pelentier is a striker who’s demonstrated a lot of promise in his years as a football player. In 2000, Dagoberto made his presence known to the Brazilian football scene at the Clube Atletico Paranaense football academy. He moved up through the age-group levels and made his senior debut at the age of 18.
In 2001, Atletico Paranaense won the Serie A title in Brazil and in 2002, Dagoberto helped the national Brazilian Under-20 team win the Toulon tournament followed by the 2003 FIFA Under-20 World Cup. Amidst all these international titles, Dagoberto was becoming a starter for his team and even though he wasn’t scoring as many as he should have, Dagoberto was excellent as a support-striker too.
In 2002, he helped Atletico Paranaense win the Parana state league title, a feat repeated in 2005. After108 games for Atletico, Dagoberto scored 45 goals and moved on to sign with Sao Paulo. During his five seasons with Sao Paulo, Dagoberto scored 35 goals in 140 games, playing as a regular member of the first team and helping the team win two Brazilian Serie A titles in 2007 and 2008.
In 2012, Sao Paulo decided to sell Dagoberto to Internacional, but has failed to make a regular place in the starting line-up. That said, Dagoberto is regular in the other competitions and has helped Internacional win the 2012 Campeonato Gaucho title.
