Fernando Martins

Fernando Lucas Martins is a professional football player from Brazil who plays as a midfielder. Fernando was a part of the youth academy at Gremio. One of the most promising players in the academy, from 2001 to 2010, Fernando was one of the stars destined to make it big. He was extremely strong on the ball, had a powerful shot on him and was exceptional in his commitment on the pitch.

He broke into the Gremio first team in 2010 but before that, Fernando was already a part of the Brazilian Under-17 squad that won the 2009 South American Under-17 championships. He made 21 appearances for Gremio in 2010 and another 10 in 2011, but for the Brazilian Under-20 side, Fernando was an important part of the 2011 South American Youth Championship and the FIFA Under-20 World Cup winning side.
