A professional football player from Brazil, Carlos Andrade Souza, also known as Carlinhos, is a defender who plays as a left back. Carlinhos began his playing career at the youth academy at Santos. In 2004, he made his mark on the team and deserved the call-up to the senior team that came in 2005. From 2005 to 2008, Carlinhos stayed at Santos and played in the state league, the cups and for the reserve team, making just 45 appearances over the three seasons.

He moved to Cruzeiro in 2008 but just 9 games later moved to Mirassol Futebol Clube, early in 2009. Failing to make a single league appearance, Carlinhos was forced to stay in the reserve team and in 2010, moved to Santo Andre in search of regular football. Before Carlinhos could play a single game for Santo Andre, he was signed up by Fluminense.

Although Carlinhos has been a part of the 2010 Campeonato Brasileiro title winning squad as well as the 2012 Campeonato Carioca winning teams, he has not had too many opportunities to show his skills, playing just 28 league games over 3 seasons.
