Luiz Fernando Correa Sales is a professional football player from Brazil who plays as an attacking midfielder. Luiz began his playing career at the Cruzeiro youth academy and was noticed in 2006 to be one of the brighter prospects of Brazilian football. He was on the fringes of joining the first team throughout 2006 and 2007 but only managed to make the breakthrough in 2008.
Although he made his league debut for Cruzeiro the same year, Luiz wasn’t ready for the first team and was sent out on loan to Ipatinga Esporte Clube for 2009-10. He played 19 games and scored a goal before returning to Cruzeiro, but the club decided to sell Luiz to Rio Claro Futebol Clube. Almost immediately after signing with the club, Luiz was sold off to Sao Caetano where, once again, he failed to make an impact on the team. He just played 1 game until the end of 2010 and began 2011 at a new club.
First, Luiz moved to Guarani Esporte Clube before moving to Vila Nova Futebol Clube, again in the same year. He saw out 2011 at Vila Nova and without managing to make a place for himself in the first team, moved to Figueirense for the 2012 season, hoping to find some regular playing time.
