Helder Santos
Helder Silva Santos is a professional football player from Brazil who plays as a defender. A left-full back, Helder began his playing career at the youth team at Londrina Esporte Clube. He stayed at the club until 2007, following which Helder moved out to Gremio’s youth team.
For two seasons, Gremio was home to a young Helder who went on to make his mark on the coaching staff. In 2009, Gremio decided to give Helder some serious playing time and set him up for a loan move to Esporte Clube Bahia. After a single season at Bahia, Helder returned to Gremio and was sent out for his second loan spell, this time to Sertaozinho Futebol Clube.
During these two loan spells, Helder was in a unique position wherein he not only played for his loan teams, but also spent time at the Gremio youth team and even in the first team. In fact, during these two seasons, Helder had made 22 appearances for the first team squad as well, in the league.
Towards the latter half of 2010, Helder decided to go in for some more playing time and joined Figueirense Futebol Clube. Immediately after moving, Helder had to prove himself to the first team and spent time playing with the reserves. Even though he has managed to score one goal for the club, Helder has made only 14 league appearances so far
