Correa Cannedo
A professional football player from Brazil, Caio Correa Canedo is a forward with a keen eye for goal. Caio began playing at the Volta Redonda Youth Team in 2007. By 2009, he was one of the biggest future prospects in the country. He had already had two stints at the Sao Paulo youth academy as well as at the Botafogo youth academy, in 2008 and 2009 respectively.
After some good showings at the youth level, Caio was sent to the first team at Volta Redonda. In 2009, he went on loan to Botafogo who decided to buy him outright at the end of the season. Although he didn’t play for the first team during his loan spell, Caio became a part of the first team squad, as a regular substitute, from 2010. He has made 35 appearances, including a few starts, since his move to Botafogo and has also scored his first goal at the highest level of the game in Brazil.
Caio was part of the team that won the 2010 Rio de Janeiro State League title and has been regularly used in the Taca Guanabara, more than in the league.
