Emilson Sanchez Cribari is a professional football player from Brazil who plays as a defender. An extremely bright prospect in his youth days, Emilson began his playing career at the Londrina Esporte Clube youth team. In 1996, he broke into the first team and spending more than a year on the bench, moved into the first team and made a name for himself. He ended his association with Londrina in 1998, playing 21 games, before moving on to Italy and signing up with Empoli.

Emilson spent seven seasons at Empoli and played over 100 games for the club, scoring three goals along the way. He moved to Udinese in 2004, but spent most of his time at S.S. Lazio. After just 8 games for Udinese, Emilson was sent out on loan to Lazio and had an immediate impact on the team.

The following season, Lazio decided to make Emilson a permanent part of their line-up and over the next four seasons, Emilson played almost 80 games more for the Rome-based outfit. Towards the end of his spell, Lazio were moving into a new direction and Emilson was sent out on loan to Siena for 18 games. He moved to Napoli in 2010-11 but with the team playing at an exceptional level, Emilson failed to make a place for himself in that line-up.

After 6 games throughout the entire season with Napoli, Emilson decided to return home for more regular playing time, and signed up with Cruzeiro in 2011. During his entire Italian tenure, the only title that Emilio won was when he helped Lazio win the 2009 SuperCoppa Italiana.
