Anderson Aquino
A striker from Brazil, Anderson Aquino is a professional football player at the highest level of the game. He began playing his football at the youth academy at Parana Clube in 2003-04. Instead of making his senior debut with Parana, Anderson moved to Atletico Paranaense where he made his senior debut in 2005. Although he didn’t play too many games for Atletico Paranaense, between 2005 and 2010, he spent most of his time on loan.
His first loan deal was in 2006, when he moved to Sport Clube do Recife for five games, scoring four goals. Despite his goals, he was mostly used in the state league competitions. He moved to Goias Esporte Clube in 2008, scoring on his league debut but still being unable to get much playing time. In 2009, his third loan spell saw Anderson move to Ituano Futebol Clube where he played 8 games before moving onto FC Olimpia Rustavi, now known as FC Metalurgi Rustavi in Georgia.
After a fantastic season of 26 goals in 31 league games, Anderson was being considered as a promising talent, especially after leading his team to the league title that year. However, once his loan deal had ended, the Georgian club couldn’t reach an agreement with Atletico Paranaense and the permanent move fell through. He returned to Brazil and signed up with Parana for the remainder of 2010,, playing just 11 games but scoring 6 times. Noticing this rise in scoring numbers, Anderson was bought by Coritiba, in a permanent move. However, the young player has, so far, failed to recreate his magic, scoring just 5 times in 20 league games.
