Fabricio Silva Dornellas is a professional football player from Brazil, who plays as a central defender. Having spent his entire youth career on the pitches of Flamengo, from 2004 to 2008, Fabricio showed a lot of promise and got into the first team, at Flamengo, in 2008. However, he wasn't able to hold a starting spot and was sent out on loan to Parana Clube, in 2008.

After a good showing in the second half of the season, Fabricio returned to Flamengo but soon moved out to 1899 Hoffenheim to play through 2008-09. After just six appearances, Fabricio had to return to Brazil with the knowledge that he wasn't good enough for the top level yet. He returned to Flamengo and finally made his debut for the Brazilian side, against Internacional.

At the end of 2010, however, Flamengo decided to let him go even though Fabricio was part of the Brazil Under-20 national team squad that came second at the 2009 FIFA Under-20 World Cup. He also had a winner's medal from the 2009 Brazilian Serie A season, with Flamengo.

Moving to Atletico Paranaense meant that Fabricio would have to re-start his playing career from scratch, at a new club, and that presented a wonderful opportunity. With nine games and a goal under his belt, Fabricio helped his team win the 2011 Minas Gerais State League championships.
