Manoel Messias

Manoel Messias Silva Carvalho is a young defender who can play as a right back as well as a central defender. Extremely versatile in his playing capabilities, Manoel was a hot prospect when playing at the Nacional de Rolandia youth academy. After just one season, Atletico Paranaense picked him in 2006, bringing him in to their own acadamy. For the next two seasons, Manoel grew as a player in the fantastic atmosphere at one of the country's best academies.

In 2009, Manoel graduated and was named as part of the first team squad. Immediately, he began making an impact when he came on as a substitute. He became an integral part of the squad that went on to win the 2009 Parana State League title. Since then, Manoel has become a regular member of the Atletico Paranaense first team and his name is one of the first to go down onto the team sheet.

He has played almost 60 games for the club, so far.
