Giovanni Aparecido

A goalkeeper by profession, Giovanni Aparecido Adriano dos Santos is a professional football player from Brazil. In 2007, Giovanni began his playing career at Marilia Atletico Clube, a team from the lower divisions in Brazil. After one season at the club, Giovanni barely made it into the starting line-up, which prompted a loan move to Ponte Preta, in 2009.

12 games with his loan team and Giovanni came back to Marilia, only to be sent out on another loan spell, this time to Gremio Prudente Futebol. His second loan spell was more productive and Giovanni almost played every single game of the season. His 25 appearances won him numerous accolades as a shot-stopper and he made his way into the Atletico Mineiro line-up for the 2011 season.

In 2011, he has played eight times, for the first team, in all competitions.
