Javier Baraja Vegas is a Spanish footballer who currently features for the Spanish football club Real Valladolid. He plays as a defender.
Javier Baraja is the brother of the Valencia central midfielder Ruben Baraja and made his debut for Valladolid in August 2001 against Deportivo la Coruna in a match that they lost 4-0. He moved to Getafe in the summer of 2002 and then to Malaga B in the summer of 2004.
Javier Baraja returned to Valladolid in the summer of 2005 and has been regular since, having played more than 50 league matches.
