Renan dos Santos

Renan dos Santos is a professional football player from Brazil who plays as a goalkeeper. Renan began his playing career at the youth team at CFZ do Rio. In 2007, he moved to Botafogo who saw a lot of potential in him. They brought him in for his final year in the youth academy and in 2008, Renan made his debut for the first team, against Sport Clube do Recife.

Following his debut, he was second-choice, behind Juan Castillo, at Botafogo but following a knee injury to Castillo, Renan got his opportunity to play for the first team. For six months, Renan was the first choice keeper for Botafogo and in 2009, he again played six more games.

So far, Renan has played around 28 games for the team, since 2008, and continues to be their second-choice keeper.
