Jose Batista
Jose Batista Leite da Silva, known simply as Batista, is a professional football player from Brazil who plays as a midfielder. Having spent his entire youth career at Adap Galo Maringo Futebol Clube, Batista graduated to their first team in 2008.
After two seasons with the team, in the lower divisions, Batista moved to Palmeiras Nordeste, still in the lower divisions. In 2003, he decided to move to Mogi Mirim Esporte Clube, before shifting to Catuense the following season.
Unable to find footing at any of these teams, Batista moved back to Galo Maringa in 2005. This was when his performances really started picking up and Batista’s two seasons at the club caught the eye of Parana Clube.
After just one season at Parana, Batista was on his way again, to Avai Futebol Clube in 2007. However, he was sent back to Parana Clube, to gain some playing experience, on a loan deal the same year. He returned to Avail in 2008, but was against sent out on loan in 2009. Still unable to make a regular place in the team, Avai Futebol Clube decided to retain his services as a back-up to the first team.
Batista continues to be a substitute for the team, rarely making appearances considering the amount of talent already lined up ahead of him in the pecking order.
