Madson Caridade
Madison Formagini Caridade is a professional footballer from Brazil who plies his trade as a midfielder, albeit with an attacking bent of mind. Extremely short and agile, Madson began his playing career at his hometown club, Volta Rendonda Futebol Clube. Madson was growing under the tutelage of Toninho Barroso and became extremely fast and flamboyant.
His growth was noticed by Vasco da Gama and in 2005, they brought Madson into their youth setup. After another year, Madson was ready to break into the first team and his presence really made a difference in the line-up. Over the next two seasons, Madson would become, not only a regular in the first team but also, a favourite with the fans of Vasco da Gama. He was sent out on a small loan spell to Duque de Caxias Futebol Clube but was called back because Vasco needed his services.
After this first attempt at a loan spell, in 2007-08, Madson moved onto America Futebol Clube, in 2008. He played three games and scored twice before being recalled to the Vasco line-up.
Extremely fast and skilled at the time, Vasco da Gama were unable to keep a hold on Madson and he moved on to Santos in 2009. Madson had refused to renew his contract and Santos got their man for free. After starting strong with Santos and playing every single game, Madson got onto the wrong side of the authorities and ended up potentially ruining his Santos career.
Madson got into a tangle along with teammates Ze Eduardo and Felipe, wherein he was said to have broken the rules & regulations of the club's training regime. Out of favour at the club, Madson was loaned out to Atletico Paranaense at the start of the 2011 season, sending a clear message out to the player to get his act straight or just end up playing with lesser teams.
