Fransergio Barbosa

Fransergio Rodrigues Barbosa is a professional footballer from Brazil who plays as a defender, although he has the ability to play in almost any position. Barbosa began his playing career at the youth academy in Atletico Paranaense, in 2003. In 2009, he graduated from the academy and was called in, into the first team squad.

Without making his debut at the highest level, Barbosa was sent off on a loan spell, to Parana Clube, in 2010. The 2008 & 2009 Copa Tribuna de Futebol Junior title winner and 2009 Campeonato Paranaense title winner was finding it difficult to hold a starting place at Parana, making just three appearances despite all the hype that came with him.

He returned to Paranaense but was sent out on loan again, this time to Vitesse Arnhem, in Holland. The Dutch side seemed eager to have Barbosa but the youngster never made the cut at the Dutch unit. He returned to Paranaense and is trying to make a place for himself in the first team.
