Fredy Vasquez

Fredy Guarin is a Colombia international football player who currently features for the Italian and European giants Inter Milan. He plays as a midfielder and is rated as one of the more promising players in Serie A.

Guarin commenced his professional club football career at Envigado in 2004 and was on their books until 2007, playing on loan at Boca Juniors and Saint-Etienne during those occasions as well. He joined Saint-Etienne in France permanently in 2007 and after one season moved to Porto.

Guarin continued his development at the Portuguese giants and earned praised from around Europe for his style of play. He played a crucial role in Porto’s triumph in the Portuguese Primeira Liga in 2009, 2011 and 2012 as well as in the Europa League in 2010-11.

Guarin played on loan for Inter Milan for the second half of the 2011-12 season, with Porto being paid €1.5 million. In the summer of 2013 the Italian giants signed him up for a total of €13.5 million.

Guarin made his international debut for Colombia against Ecuador in a friendly international on May 24, 2006.
