Jose Santos

As far as strikers go, Jose Santos isn't the best in the business when it comes to scoring goals. However, he is truly amongst the top players when it comes to disrupting the opponent's game plan. known as Neto Berola, Sosthenes Jose Santos Salles worked through the youth academy at Buerarema, in 2005-06, to break into the first team in 2007. Despite not getting plenty of playing time, Santos kept working hard but was transferred at the end of the season.

Moving to his home-town of Itabuna, Santos tried to kick-start his career and it worked. After a decent 2008-09, Esporte Clube Vitoria decided to gamble on his abilities and brought him in. Although he scored just 4 goals, Santos was an important substitute who came in and did his job well for the team. He helped Vitoria to the Bahia State League title in 2010, getting his first piece of silverware at the professional level.
