Santiago Acasieste is a Peruvian international footballer who currently features for the Spanish club Almeria. He plays as a defender and is also the vice-captain of Almeria.
Santiago Acasiesta commenced his footballing career at Pruvian club Deportivo Wanka in 2001 and moved to Universidad de Deportes in 2002 and then to Ciencieano del Cuzco in 2003. In the summer of 2004 he made the bold move to Europe and came to play for Almeria and developed into one of the best players for the club.
Santiago Acasiesta made his international debut for Peru in 2004 and has earned 15 caps for his nation and has scored 2 goals. He featured for Peru at Copa America 2004 and 2007.

On December Acasistes was discerned guilty of introducing women and alcohol in the national squad’s hotel just two before his side’s 5-1 defeat to Ecuador. He was subsequently suspended from the national team for 18 months.
