Manuel Jimenez Ortiz is a Spanish football player who currently features for the Spanish club Almeria. He plays as a defender and is developing still.
Nicknamed as Mane, Manuel Ortiz made his professional debut for the little known Spanish side RB Linense in 2000 and after arching through Diter Zafra and then Atletico Madrid B, he landed at Ciudad de Murcia in 2005 and was quite impressive in his first and only season there and was taken on board by Almeria at the start of the 2006-2007 season.
He was a hugely efficient player for Almeria in the 2007-2008 season in La Liga and was named by Sky Sports La Liga expert Guillem Balague in his La Liga team of the season. He is linked with a move to Spanish club Villarreal.
