Vedad Ibisevic was born on 6 August 1984 in Vlasenica and is a Bosnian footballer who plays for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in the German Bundesliga and the Bosnian national team as a striker. Vedad has also played in the USA, Switzerland and France. He was awarded Idol Nacije (idol of the people) in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the best player in the year 2008.
He has commenced his career with FC baden in 2000-2001 and later moved to Saint Louis Billikens in 2003.
His senior career was incepted with St. Louis Strikers in 2003. He has got chance to play with various clubs including Chicago Fire Premier in 2004, Paris Saint-Germain in 2004-05, Dijon in 2005 and Alemannia Aachen in 2006.
He made his debut for Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team on 24 march 2007 for the Euro 2008 Qualifier against Norway. He has also represented the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team in Under-21 level in 2004.
