Philipp Wollscheid is a football player of Germany currently playing as a center back for Bundesliga side 1.FC Nuremberg. He became prominent after becoming a regular starter for Nuremberg. According to Kicker’s player ratings Philipp is ranked third amongst all the defenders of Bundesliga.
His youth career began with SV Morscholz in the year 1994 and has since then he has got a chance to play with various teams including SV Wadrill, VfL Primstal, SV Morscholz, and SG Noswendel-Wadern.
In his late career he started playing with the club named Hasborn-Dautweiler in 2007-2008 making 18 appearances and had managed to transfer to 1.FC Saarbrücken and then to 1.FC Nuremberg in which he had been able to achieve 5 goals in 35 matches. Philipp has signed a contract with Bayer Leverkusen for the year 2012.
