Per Nilsson is a Swedish football player playing as a defender in 1.FC Nuremberg of German Bundesliga.
He was born in 15 September 1982 in Härnösand, Sweden and has commenced his football career at a very early age of 6 years. In 1988 he was a part of Stigsjö IK football club. He continued playing with the team for next three years till 1991. Per had also played for IFK Timrå for 5 years from 1992-1997.
His senior career began with IFK Timrå in 1998. He then signed a deal with GIF Sundsvall in the same year and continued with the same till 2001 with 40 appearances and made one goal. Afterwards he played with all the major clubs including AK, Odd Greenland and 1899 Hoffenheim,

Per has represented various national teams of Sweden including Sweden U18, Sweden U19, Sweden U21 as well as Sweden National football cricket team.
He was also honored with the Kniksen Award for best defender of the year in 2006.
