Itay Shechter

Born on 22 February 1987, Itay Menachem Shechter is an Israeli footballer from Ramat Yishai, at present playing for 1. FC Kaiserslautern.

Itay has started his career in 1999 and since then has been a part of various clubs. In his youth career he has played with Hapoel Haifa from 1999-2001 and has also been a part of Hapoel Nazareth Illit/Emek Izra'el from 2001-2005. The commencement of the senior career of Itay started with Hapoel Nazareth Illit in the year 2005 in which he has made 27 appearances in a year. The maximum number of 83 appearances of Itay was made in Maccabi Netanya from 2006-2009. He had also showed his remarkable appearance in Hapoel Tel Aviv from 2009-2011. In 2011 he moved to 1. FC Kaiserslautern

In his career Itay has also been an important part of Israel National team, Israel U 18, Israel U19 and Israel U21 team.

The first national goal was scored by Itay on 9 October 2010 in the 2-1 loss against Croatia and has achieved various honors for the clubs he had played for. He had been the winner of Israeli Premier League in 2009-10 and stood as runner-up in 2006-07, 2007-08 and 2010-11. He also made his team the winner of Israel State Cup in the year 2010.
