Mathew Leckie is a football player playing for Melbourne City.
After bursting on to the scene in Australia with Adelaide United he earned a move to Germany. He had a long career in Germany including spells with Bundesliga clubs Borussia Moenchengladbach and Hertha Berlin, along with time in the second tier with FSV Frankfurt and FC Ingolstadt.
In 2021 he opted to return to Australia to join Melbourne City.
He has been capped more than 70 caps by Australia, playing at the 2014 and 2018 World Cups.
