Slobodan Rajković is a professional football player playing for Hamburger SV. a German Bundesliga club as a defender. Born on 3rd of February 1988 in Belgrade, Slobodan started his football career with OFK Beograd team. At the age of 15, he was included in the first team of this club. When he was in the second season, his reputation grew.
In November 2005, Chelsea observed his talent and paid him 5.2 million euros, which is a world record till date for such a younger player to get under 18 years of age. Under the terms of the deal, he stayed at OFK Beogard team as a loaned player from Chelsea till the end of 2006-07 Serbian SuperLiga season.
In June 2007, Chelsea team loaned Slobodan to PSV Eindhoven ahead of 2007-08 season, as part of the deal surrounding another player's move to Chelsea. Post a year playing at PSV, the Dutch club wanted to extend the loan period for another year, but Chelsea team declined that due to lack of playing time that Slobodan was receiving in his season at Eindhoven.
But, he returned to the Eredivisie and on 9th July 2008, the team of FC Twente agreed for a one year loan deal with Chelsea team. By June 2009, this loan got extended till June 2010. Moreover, on 23rd of August 2010, Slobodan was transferred to another Dutch Eredivisie club, along with Matej Delac and Nemanja Matic on a season long loan.
The major teams that Slobodan has been a part of till date includes OFK Beogard, Chelsea, PSV, Twente, Vitesse, Hamburger SV and Serbia national football team.
