Jaroslav Drobný

Jaroslav Drobný is a professional Czech international football player playing for Hamburger SV, a German Bundesliga football club. Previously he had played with Hertha BSC, Ceske Budejovice, ADO Den Haag, VfL Bochum and Panionios.

His first club was the local club, SK Chrudium. In his first season, he signed a contract with FC Vitkovice team and later on he joined S.K.Ceske Budejovice team. He spent his first professional years from 1999 till 2002. The next step in his career was a transfer to Panionios. In 2005, he was spotted by Fulham team and by summer, the West London Club bought him. But, Jaroslav was injured shortly post his arrival in this team and upon fitness, he failed to get a place in the team. Half a season later, he got loaned to ADO Den Haag, a Dutch club. When he returned, his contract was terminated by mutual consent in August 2006, without having played a first team game for the club.

On 27th October 2006, he joined the team of Ipswich Town for a short term deal, though he failed to make a first team appearance. On 23rd January 2007, he got loaned to the team of VfL Bochum. He instantly took over the position on goal and on 27th January 2007, he made his Bundesliga debut with the team of VfL Bochum against Mainz. Playing a good season, Jaroslav was offered a place in the team of Hertha BSC which he refused to join. Since 2007-08, he has played in the German capital and post 2008-09 season, with Hertha leading the Bundesliga for five match days, Hertha finished in the last place in 2009-10 season and Jaroslav left this club to join Hamburger SV.

He has played for the Czech national team's U21 side for 16 times, though his chances were limited in the full squad. On 11th February 2009, he made his debut for the senior team in 0-0 draw match held against Morocco.
