Born on 26 October 1984, Jefferson Agustin Farfán Guadalupe is a football player from Peru, playing currently for Bundesliga side Schalke 04 as a midfielder.
Farfán made his first professional debut with Alianza Lima in 2001 and stayed with the same for three years till 2004. He made 77 appearances while scoring 28 goals for the club. He got transferred to PSV Eindhoven in 2004 with a reported transfer fee of 2 million Euros. He continued playing for Eindhoven for four years. On 5 June 2008, he was transferred to Schalke 04 from PSV Eindhoven on a four year contract.
Farfán played an important role in the Peru National Team as he has major contribution in scoring vital goals for the team. He made his international debut in 2003 and has appeared for 42 times, gaining more than 30 caps.
