Mario Vrancic

Born on 23 May 1989 in Slavonski Brod, SFR Yugoslavia, Mario Vrancic is a football player from Germany who plays currently for Borussia Dortmund II.

Vrancic began his career initially with VfR Kesselstadt and moved to 1.FSV Mainz 05 in 2002 and continued with the same for eight years till 2010. During his career with 1. FSV Mainz, he scored 17 goals. In 2009 he was loaned out to Rot-Weiss Ahlen from 1. FSV Mainz 05 for one season. After that he left the club to join Borussia Dortmund II.

Vrancic has also represented Germany at Under-17 and Under-19 and Under-20 level in 2006, 2008 and 2009 respectively. He had also won the UEFA European Under- 19 football championship with Germany in 2008.
