Moritz Leitner

Marcel Schmelzer is a German Football player born on 22 January 1988 in Magdeburg, East Germany and is currently playing for German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund as a left back.

He has been capped by Germany at international level for his convincing performance every time. He has also played a crucial role in 2009 while his squad won the UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship.

Schmelzer commenced his career with Fortuna Magdeburg in 1997 and played with the same till 2001. In 2001 he moved to FC Magdeburg. In 2005 he got transferred to the Borussia Dortmund in 2007.

He has also represented the Germany National Football team in 2010 and Germany Under-21 Football team in 2009-2010.
