Ilkay Gündogan

IIkay Gundogan is a German footballer playing as a midfielder for German Bundesliga club, Borussia Dortmund. He had previously played for VFL Bochum and 1.FC Nuremberg.

IIkay commenced his career as a midfielder in 1993 with SV Gelsenkirchen-Hessler 06 and moved to Schalke 04 in 1998. He had joined SV Gelsenkirchen-Hessler 06 the next year. In 2004, he was a part of SSV Buer squad. In 2005 he signed a contract with Vfl Bochum and later got promoted to the second division squad. In the year 2009 he joined 1.FC Nuremberg and continued with the same till 2011.

On 11 October 2011 Gündoğan made his debut for the National Football Team of Germany against Belgium, in a Euro 2012 qualifier. He has also represented the National team of Germany in Under-18, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 levels.
