Born on 27 April 1989, Sven Bender is a German footballer playing currently for Borussia Dortmund, a German Bundesliga club as a midfielder.
Sven started his career in 1993 with TSV Brannenburg and continued with the same till 1999 and has moved to SpVgg Unterhaching in 1999 where he was a part of the squad till 2003 and later in 2006, he joined 1860 Munich where he made maximum appearances for 65 times scoring one goal. He played a crucial role in the club for 6 years. In 2009 he was transferred to Borussia Dortmund.
Bender has also represented the National football team of Germany in U-17, U-19 and U-20 level. He has also represented the senior German National football team for the first time in February 2011 in a friendly match against Italy in Dortmund.
