Born on 22 August 1988, Mitchell James Langerak is an Australian football goalkeeper playing currently for Borussia Dortmund in the German Bundesliga.
He had commenced his career at an early age of 8 years in the youth team of Tieri Tigers in 1996, remaining with the same till 2001. He moved to Bundaberg Waves in 2003 and to AIS in 2005-2006.
Langerak began his professional career with Melbourne Victory in 2007 playing 21 matches. In 2007 he was loaned to the South Melbourne. After finishing up of loan, he moved to Borussia Dortmund in 2010 and has moved later to the second division of Borussia Dortmund where he had made 9 appearances.

He had played in the AFC Youth Championship 2006 as a part of Young Socceroos squad. He has also had an opportunity of representing the Australia U-20 and the National team of Australia in 2006 and 2011 respectively. He has won the PFA Harry Kewell Medal for his promising performance in the year 2009-10.
His club has also won the A-League Championship and A-League Premiership in 2008-09 in Melbourne victory and Bundesliga Borussia Dortmund in 2010-11.
