Nicolai Jørgensen is a professional football player playing for 1. FC Kaiserslautern team in the German Bundesliga. He plays as a second striker and so far has played for teams of Brondby IF, Akademisk Boldklub, Bayer Leverkusen and Denmark national football team.

Born in Ballerup, Denmark, Nicolai began his football career with Skovlunde IF, joining Akademisk Boldklub team. He played for almost 9 years other than half a year as an U15 player in Brondby IF team. Later on, he joined Bayer Leverkusen team for their pre-season training camp, scoring 4 goals in his first 45 minute appearance. Subsequently, he signed a five year contract with Leverkusen team on 12th July 2010. On 29th August 2010, he made his Bundesliga debut against Borussia Monchengladbach team.

On 4th October 2010, Nicolai was called up to play for the Denmark national football team, for the matches against Cyprus and Portugal in the UEFA Euro2012 qualifying group H. At the 70th minute, he scored the winning goal against Belarus on 14th June 2011 in UEFA European U21 football championship in 2011.
