Leon Britton is an English football player who currently features for the Premier League club Swansea City. He plays as a midfielder.
Britton developed at the youth academy of English giants Arsenal but failed to cut the grade at the London club, joining West Ham United in 1998 instead.
He was on the Hammers’ book until 2003, but his breakthrough came in 2002-03 season when he turned out for Swansea on loan.
Britton was impressive at the Liberty Stadium that campaign, featuring in 25 league matches, and earned himself a permanent contract.
He was on the Swans’ books until 2010, scoring 15 goals in 270 league matches and establishing himself as a key player for the Welsh player.
After playing for Sheffield United for the first half of the 2010-11 campaign, Britton returned to Swansea and has re-established himself as a key player for the team in the Premier League, winning the League Cup in 2012-13.
