Costel Fane Pantilimon is a Romania international football player who currently features for the English and European giants Manchester City. He plays as a goalkeper.
Pantilimon commenced his professional club football career at Aerostar Bacau in 2003 and played for them until 2005, making 9 league appearances. He thereafter moved to Politehnica Timisoara and played for their B team in 26 league matches.
In 2006 Pantilimon was promoted to Timisoara’s first team and was on their books until 2011, playing in 93 league matches. He was sent on loan to Manchester City in August 2011 on a season-long loan deal as a cover for goalkeeper Joe Hart, and in December of that year was signed in a permanent contract for Timisoara for £3 million.
