Marouane Fellaini-Bakkioui was born on November 22, 1987 in Etterbeek, Brussels, Belgium. He stands 194 cm tall and he is a midfielder.
His parents are Moroccan and hailed from Tangier but Fellaini grew up in Brussels. His father Abdellatif Fellaini used to play football professionally and was a goalkeeper. Fellaini is Muslim.
Fellaini spent his youth career playing for a number of local clubs including Anderlecht, Mons, R. Francs Borains, Sporting Charleroi, and Standard Liège.
Senior Career
He started his senior career playing for Standard in 2006. In 2008, he moved to play for the English football club Everton. He made 141 appearances for the team, making 25 goals.
In 2013, he started playing for Manchester United. In 2019, he moved to China and signed with the Shandong Taishan.
Aside from his club career, he played for the Belgium National Football Team starting in 2004, playing for different Unders teams. In 2007, he started playing for the main team up to 2018. In total, he made 87 appearances with them.
