Ryan Bertrand is an England international football player who currently features for the English and European giants Chelsea. He is a versatile player who can play either as a left-back or as a left winger.
Bertrand started his youth football career at Gillingham in 1998 and in 2005 moved to Chelsea for an initial £125,000. He has been on the Blues’ books since then, although he spent much of the subsequent years on loan at other clubs.
In 2006-07 Bertrand was loaned out to Bournemouth, then to Oldham Athletic in 2007-08, Norwich City in 2008-09, Reading for the 2009-10 season and Nottingham Forest in the 2010-11 campaign.

Bertrand was drafted back into the Chelsea first team at the start of the 2011-12 season.
Bertrand made his international debut for England on August 10, 2012 against Italy in an international friendly after representing Great Britain at the 2012 London Olympics.
