Carl Jenkinson

Carl Jenkinson is a young Finnish football player who currently features for A-League club Newcastle Jets. He plays as a right-back.

Jenkinson developed at the youth academy of Charlton Athletic and made his first-team debut for the London club in 2009. He was on their books until 2011, featuring in eight league matches. He was also farmed out on loan to Eastbourne Borough and Welling United in 2010.

In 2011 Arsenal came calling and signed Jenkinson from Charlton for a reported fee of £1 million. He has since gained important experience at the Gunners and has also developed the ability to play in central defence. Jenkinson is known for his tough tackling and marauding runs down the right flank.
